Meredith Barr, LMT

Extreme Relaxation Massage Practitioner

Meredith Barr, LMT and owner/operator of Integrative Massage of Peachtree City has had the honor of observing her clients and their body's responses to various modalities of massage for over 13 years. There is one undeniable fact. When the massage session begins with healing intent and a relaxing stroke, both the mind and body become more receptive to the healing and massage process.

Because the hands, feet, and head are heavily concentrated with nerve endings, when they are stimulated, it activates the parasympathetic nervous system which takes the body out of the "fight or flight" state and into "rest and digest." When these body parts are honed in on, involuntary deep breathing (and sometimes even snoring) ensues and the ENTIRE body relaxes. In order to create the PERFECT massage, this service wouldn't have been complete without addressing the most widely held stress component of our body...the shoulders and upper back.

Never again will you feel cheated out of the most relaxing portions of your massage. The EXTREME Relaxation "Head, Shoulders, Hands, and Toes" service can decrease cortisol and release the endorphins you need to undo the stress and tension that life throws your way.
